Father Martin Beckman Obituary Beckman, Fr. Martin Died peacefully on January 1, 2024 at Methodist Hospital at the age of 93. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Johanna Beckman; and brothers, Vernol, Morris, Cletus, William, Mark and Larry. Survived by siblings, Joan, Lyle, Joyce, and Phil; and many nieces and nephews. Father Marty began his religious endeavors in 1956 and joined the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis in 1978. Father Marty served multiple churches in the Twin Cities area. Outside of serving the Church, Father Marty actively enjoyed the outdoors downhill and cross-country skiing, sailing, and performing yard work and gardening. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday January 18, 2024 at 11 AM with visitation starting at 9:30 AM at the Church of Saint Therese of Deephaven, 18325 Minnetonka Blvd. The Archbishop Bernard Hebda will be presiding.
