Florence 'Tarni' Holen Obituary Florence "Tarni" Holen Beloved mother, grandmother, GG Born in Baltimore, MD on October 24, 1934 to parents, Hilda and Lawrence Barnes. Received her nursing degree in LaCrosse, WI in 1965. Her nursing career spanned 27 years at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse. Her years at Lutheran were spent working in the Intensive Care Unit. She was known as a "people person" and nursing and caring for patients were her passion. She retired in 1994 and traveled Europe with her family. She remained active in her "Golden Years" volunteering at Courage Center, Golden Valley, Park Nicollet Clinic, and North Memorial Hospital. She is survived by three daughters; Toni Frey (Bob), Kathy Coffman, and Lori Boisclair; four grandchildren, Jeremy Enge, Sarah Kammes (Jamie), David Coffman (Misty), and Eric Coffman (Ben). She has eight great grandchildren known to her as GG, Quinn, Elijah, Gracie, Kaila, Kaden, Krista, David and Anne. Preceded in death by her parents, Hilda and Lawrence; brothers, Buddy and Greg Barnes, and son-in-law, Robert Boisclair.
