Francis 'Frank' McGinty Obituary McGinty, Francis (Frank) Michael age 77 of Maple Grove and formally of Minnetonka passed away unexpectedly on December 23rd, surrounded by family. Frank is survived by his wife Mary of 54 years; sons, John (Joanne), Brian (Stephanie) and Kevin (Connie); grandchildren, Jack, Jane, Shea, Patrick, Jens and his sister Mary Wheeler. Born April 3, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois with his sister Mary and brother John. Frank spent the vast majority of his career in advertising working for a number of newspapers and publications, including the Chicago Tribune, Minneapolis Star Tribune, St. Paul Pioneer Press, and IFAI. Frank lived to laugh and had a vast network of friends. From his high school and college days, his neighborhood networks, coaching his sons sports teams, vacationing to Florida, spending summer at Cedar Lodge on Spider Lake in Hayward, WI, to traveling with friends and family, Frank was the person who made everyone smile. Mass will be held to celebrate Franks life on Saturday, December 29th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka, MN 55345. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the Mass at 11:00 am.
