Frank Blodgett Obituary Blodgett, Frank Caleb age 89 of Wayzata, died April 6, 2017. Preceded in death by wife, Jean and brother, William K. Blodgett. Survived by sons, Caleb and wife Patty of Portland, OR, David and wife Marti of Minnetonka Beach, MN; daughter, Barbara Frelinger and husband John of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Lauren Wahl-Stephens and husband Jerry, Lindsay Blodgett, Allison Frelinger, John Caleb Blodgett, Catherine Frelinger and husband Ben Spielberg, Molly Jean Blodgett, John Caleb Frelinger; great-grandson, James Caleb Wahl-Stephens; sister, Dorothy Aring; sister-in-law, Ellen Blodgett; other loving relatives and friends. He attended Beloit College and Harvard Business School. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Hornet CV12 from 44-46. He was the President of Blodgett Mills in Janesville, WI. He then joined General Mills and eventually became Vice Chairman of the Board, CFO and Chief Administrative Officer. While at General Mills he developed, and introduced the granola bar. He also served on the boards of Medtronic, Northwestern National Life, Beloit College, Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Allina, Waldorf Corporation, Diversified Energy and the United States Chamber of Commerce.
