Gene Rosenberger Obituary
Gene (Eugene) Rosenberger age 71, passed away July 28 from complications due to diabetes and a stroke. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, and a friend to many. He will be remembered as a kind, compassionate person who could always be counted on. He was involved in many activities including the Minnetonka Power Squadron, Wayzata Yacht Club, Church of the Epiphany, Courage Alpine Skiers, and the Inter-Cosmo Club. He grew up in St. Louis, MO and graduated from the University of Missouri. Gene worked for a division of the McGraw Hill Company for 35 years and spent his retirement years working for West Marine. As an avid skier, he skied locally and in Colorado and Utah, and taught handicapped skiing with the Courage Center Alpine Skiers. During the summer you could find him actively racing with the Wayzata Yacht Club or spending time on Big Island with his family at the Power Squadron facility. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and two children; Robbie and Andrea, and his wonderful dog; Nimrod. He is survived by his wife of 41 years; Beth, his daughter; Sarah (Andy) Bittell, and two granddaughters; Minnie and Lucy. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on August 20 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata. Memorial service will be held at 10AM at Church of the Epiphany, 4900 Nathan Lane, Plymouth, MN. Donations preferred to families Choice.
