George Kroeck Obituary Kroeck, George E. age 93 of Wayzata, World War II Veteran, passed away on February 9, 2013. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Ruth; his beloved son, Tom; his parents, three brothers and one sister.
George was a salesman with Kimberly Clark for 44 years. He also volunteered for several years at Hillcrest in Wayzata.
George had many interests. He loved all sports, especially football. His favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He also loved to play golf, fish and visit the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. He also enjoyed a good meal.
Most of all George treasured his family. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Larson (Wayne) and Mary Johnson (Tom) both of Wayzata; son, George (Diane) of Plymouth; daughter-in-law, Claudia Kroeck. He had nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends. Our family wishes to thank the staff at St. Therese in Hopkins, Meridian Manor in Wayzata, Hillcrest in Wayzata and Methodist Hospice for all of their loving care. Dad loved his family so much and now God has taken him home where he will live forever. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Church of St. Anne, 200 Hamel Road, Hamel with visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Holy Name Cemetery in Medina. Memorials preferred to Methodists Fraunshuh Cancer Center or to St. Annes.
