George Schumacher Obituary George William "Bill" Schumacher of Medina, MN age 88, passed away on May 9, 2024. Bill was born in Sioux Falls, SD on October 9, 1935. He graduated from the University of South Dakota and married Sally Winner in 1956. He spent many years in sales with Proctor and Gamble, Calgon, and Land O Lakes. Bill was a member of the National Guard and a traveling salesman. He enjoyed family camping trips, golfing, telling jokes and antiques. Bill was active in church Bible studies and fellowship groups. He was a proud greeter at the front door of church for many years. Preceded in death by parents George William and Meryl Schumacher, daughter Nancy Hillstrom, sister Mary Hackett, and son-in-law Allan OFlanagan. Survived by wife Sally (Winner), son Steve (Pam), daughter Karen OFlanagan, son Mike (LeAnne), eight grandchildren, two great grandsons, and many other loving relatives. A celebration of life will be held at Messiah Methodist 17805 County Road 6 in Plymouth on May 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
