Gerald “Jerry” Bruce Bich, 84 years old, passed away May 23rd, 2026. Born August 27, 1941 in Dickinson, ND to the late Evelyn and Rudy Bich. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Holthaus Bich, his brother Don Bich of Boise, ID and his brothers-in-law Jeff (Kathy) of La Crescent, MN and Mike (Kathy) of St. Paul, MN. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Navy. Jerry married Linda May 3, 1969 in La Crescent, MN. They were both avid golfers and were members of Golden Valley GCC in Minneapolis, MN and the Gallery Golf Club in Tucson, AZ for many years. Many trips (both golf and non-golf) were taken to different areas of the world. They were blessed with many friendships. Jerry graduated from Fargo Central High School and North Dakota State University in Fargo with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He spent 28 years with Honeywell and Alliant Tech Services (a spinoff of Honeywell), working in production engineering and engineering management. He worked on projects associated with the space program, such as building and testing the engine controllers for the Space Shuttle. He also worked on projects for various electronic boxes for military and commercial aircraft and torpedoes for the Navy. His last 4 years before retirement were spent at Angeion Medical in engineering management of implantable defibrillators. Memorial donations may be made in Linda’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association. A military service and burial will be held on June 18, 2026 at 12:30 PM, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN
