Gladys Myers Obituary Age 97, of Hopkins and Long Lake, Minnesota, passed away on September 17, 2018. Preceded in death by parents and husband, Thomas Corwin Myers III. Gladys life was filled with family, spirituality, and art. In her young adulthood during WWII and thereafter, she worked as a fashion illustrator for a major Minneapolis clothing store. In later life, she became a spiritual director trained at the Cenacle Retreat Center. A prolific artist, Gladys worked in a variety of media including pastel, poured ink, batik, oil, watercolor, and clay. Survived by five children, Leslie, Lolly (Stan), Linda (Doug), Robin, and Tom (Mary); twelve grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Deephaven Woods, especially Brett, Mercy, Missy, Jerome, Monia, Bouman, Angela, and Maybel; and to the angels at Joyful Companions and Park Nicollet Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday September 19, 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM at the Church of St. Therese, 18323 Minnetonka Blvd, in Deephaven.
