Gordon Wilkinson Obituary Gordon Eugene Wilkinson "Gordie passed away April 23 2005 at the Presbyterian Home Care Center on Lake Minnetonka in Spring Park, MN at age 82. Gordie was the son of Eugene & Gunborg (Carlson) Wilkinson, born in Duluth, MN on August 30, 1922. He attended Lester Park Grade School, East Junior High, and Central High School graduating with the class of 1940. Gordie spent four years in the Coast Guard during WWII serving on the US Coast Guard cutter Tampa in the North Atlantic. Gordon was a charter member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Duluth. He married Shirley Anderson on May 25, 1946. He also served two years in the Navy during the Korean War.
