Gretchen Snyder Obituary Snyder, Gretchen Gata Luther 10-8-21 to 9-20-06. Preceded in death by husbands John Jock Thompson and John P. Snyder, Jr.; sons, Whitten and John Thompson; great grandson, Andrew Johnson. Survived by her brother, Hamilton Luther and Ann; Children, Helen Waldron, Susan McDowell, Jennifer and John Pierson, John and Stacey Snyder, and Hamilton Thompson; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. She was a founding board member of Children's Hospital and served on the Minnetonka School Board. She lived life grandly and adored her friends and family.
