Harold Theiste Obituary Theiste, Harold Albert Age 82 of Plymouth, passed away December 16, 2018. Beloved husband to Arlene (Eichhorst). Born in Chicago to Rev. and Mrs. Hans Theiste, he was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Bethany Lutheran High School and College as well as the University of Minnesota. Harold was a pioneer in the computer industry at Control Data in Mpls; Rockville, Md.; Houston, Tex.; and in Washington D.C. worked for the Small Business Administration under President Jimmy Carter. Served 33 years as a regent for Bethany Lutheran College. He was active in his churches in Fayetteville, N.C.; Falls Church, Va.; Houston, Tex.; King of Grace Lutheran in Golden Valley, Minn. "Best Dad Ever" to daughters Elizabeth Davis (Jim), Mary Farquhar (Bill), Karin Cooper (Douglas), Laura Merriam (Ted); grandchildren Theo, Leni, Sam Merriam, Lauren Farquhar, Katie Bockoven (Peter), Barrett and Tyler Davis; great-granddaughter, Adeline. Also survived by brothers Norman (Susan), Ted (Sylvia) and Fred; sister-in-law Barbara; brother-in-law Gerald Schilling. Preceded in death by brother Victor, sister Connie Schilling, sister-in-law Janet. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 21 at King of Grace Lutheran, 6000 Duluth St., Golden Valley, Minn. Visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to King of Grace or to Bethany Lutheran College.
