Helen Ferrin Obituary Ferrin, Helen Merle (Stubbs) Was born on October 10, 1914 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 21, 2009 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by husband, John after 67 years of marriage. Also preceded by parents, Roger and Ellen Stubbs, two sisters and five brothers. She is survived by children, Ann Gruenhagen, Spooner, WI, Frank (Ginger) of Plymouth, Russell (Jean) of Minnetonka, Judy Clark (Douglas) of San Diego, CA; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lillian Stubbs; and many other relatives and friends. Merle was born in the family home near Stubbs Bay, Lake Minnetonka and lived most of her school years in that area, graduating from Wayzata High School in 1933. In 1935 she married John W. Ferrin who later was a home building contractor in the Lake Minnetonka area for over 40 years. In 1951 they became charter members of the Wayzata Evangelical Free Church and were active there until moving to Spooner, WI in 2001. She was the last surviving charter member of the church. Memorial service 11:30 AM Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Wayzata Evangelical Free Church, 705 Hwy 101 N., Plymouth. Memorials may be directed to Missions, Wayzata Evangelical Free Church.
