Pfunder Helen Wash Pfunder of Wayzata. Born August 30, 1921 and passed away September 5, 2005. Graduate from Washburn High School in 1939 and Wellesley College in 1943. Survived by husband, Malcolm G. Pfunder; children, Malcolm R. Pfunder and Elizabeth G. Pfunder Whittlesey; grandchildren, Peter and Douglas Whittlesey, Nicholas and Graeme Pfunder; sisters, Elizabeth Beardsley and Margaret VanTassell both from New York. Past president of the Lake Minnetonka Garden Club and the Wellesley Club of the Twin Cities. Past Director of the Ripley Foundation, Childrens Hospital, Friends of the Institiute, Stephens Square and Courage Center. Member or former member of the Woodhill Country Club, St. Martin's by-the-Lake Episcopal Church, St. Martin's Church Altar Guild, Minnetonka Art Center, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Minneapolis Arboretum, Minnesota Historical Society, Cook County Historical Society, Friends of Grand Portage, Minnesota Orchestral Association, Miscellaneous Club and the TOBC Club. Memorial service for Helen will be held on Saturday September 10 2:30 PM at St. Martin's by-the-Lake Episcopal Church, 2801 Westwood Road, Minnetonka Beach. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA or Courage Center, Minneapolis.
