Henry Dehne Obituary Henry "Hank" Eielt Dehne Hank Dehne, age 82, of Plymouth, MN, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, friendship, and devoted family. Hank was the son of Henry and Memke Dehne. He grew up in Chicago, just blocks from Wrigley Field and was a lifelong Cubs fan. He graduated Luther High School North in Chicago in 1961 and went on to attend college at Valparaiso University, in Indiana. He graduated from Valparaiso in 1966 with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Math. Hank further pursued his education receiving an MBA from Northern Illinois University in 1967. Upon completing his formal education, Hank embarked on a thirty-two-year career at General Mills, working in warehousing and logistics. In 1970 he married Kathleen "Kathy" Lindahl Dehne. Together, they moved from Illinois, to Minnesota, to New York, and back again to Minnesota, and raised their daughter, Patty. Following his retirement at General Mills, Hank continued to work at The Toro Company for an additional seven years. He also had a brief stint in real estate, and tax preparation. Hank was a lover of travel, good food, long bike-rides, golf, old cars, reading, laughter, road trips, and family. Hank held family and friendship above all else. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Memke Dehne; his aunt and uncle, Eielt and Martha "Tant" Frerichs; his sister, Etteliese "Ettie" Schmidt; his brother-in-law and friend, William "Bill" Schmidt; and his nephew, Brad "Butch" Schmidt. Hank is survived by his daughter, Patty; his cherished grandchildren William, Charlotte, and Natalie; and many nephews, nieces, and dear friends. A memorial service & celebration of life will be held October 11th, 2025, at St. Philip the Deacon, 17205 County Rd 6, Plymouth MN. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., with a luncheon to follow. Interment will follow at a later date, at the Lutheran Church of Saint Luke Cemetery in Itasca, Illinois.
