Homer Martinson Obituary Martinson, Homer O. Age 88, of Minnetonka. Dearly beloved Homer Martinson joined his lovely wife of 57 years Kathryn in heaven on June 19, 2013. The Head Golf Professional at Wayzata Country Club for 35 years, Homer was a talented athlete who loved the game of golf. Graduate of Hopkins High School and Gustavus. Even more than sports, Homer loved people. He had the gift of story telling - and he could draw a smile and a laugh out of most everyone he met. Homer was friendly, optimistic, joyful and generous with an incredible sense of humor and an enormous heart. There is no doubt that his was a life well-lived. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Hochhalter; son, Paul (Carrie); granddaughters, Marcy (Nick), Shelly (Mark), Katie and Dani; nieces and nephews; dog, Penny; and so many loved friends. He is missed already. Memorial service 3 pm Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Wayzata Community Church, 125 Wayzata Blvd E, Wayzata, reception to follow. Visitation 5-7 pm Monday at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata.
