Irene Rasmusson Obituary Rasmusson, Irene B. (Lillquist) Born in Cass Lake, MN on March 12, 1923 and died on November 15, 2007 in Wayzata. Irene began her teaching career at 19 and almost completed her doctorate in Art Education at the University of Minnesota. She taught at Guthrie, Spring Lake Park and Golden Valley Minnesota where she taught Grade School, German and Art at the Elementary and Jr. High levels. She loved to travel, read, spend time at her cabin in Minnesota and condo in Arizona. Irene was preceded in death by husband, Manferd Manny""; brother, John Lillquist and sister, Nina Heieren. She is survived by children, Barbara White and husband Warren, Dale and wife Lois; grandchildren, Lauralee Peterson and husband Todd, Wendy McDougall and husband Dennis, Lesley White-Kayser and husband Darrin, Shari Rasmusson and Tobin Rasmusson andwife Jenny; 10 great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral service Monday, November 26 at 11 AM at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 13501 Sunset Trail, Plymouth. Visitation Sunday, November 25 from 4-8 at the church and 1 hour prior to service on Monday. Private interment at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials preferred to the church.
