Jack Kuehn Obituary Kuehn, Jack W., Sr. Passed away at age 99 on 8/15/15. Jack was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great -grandfather, brother, and a great friend to many. He had a lifetime commitment to physical fitness and sports from football to fencing, swimming, track, golf, and tennis. In his 34+ years of "snowbirding" to Rio Verde, AZ he was especially dedicated to promoting Pickleball and to playing golf, tennis, and bridge. He was also a visionary businessman, who talked his brokerage based family into considering a non-oil separating peanut butter and eventually became President of Skippy Peanut Butter's only franchise - based in St. Louis Park, MN. He also promoted the first "already buttered when it popped" popcorn, established a break bulk terminal for plastics, and founded a warehouse and plastic recycling plant in Burnsville, MN. Because he had a rare blood type (O-, Universal Donor), he was frequently called upon to donate blood which he did often and willingly, once even saving a life by direct transfusion in a hospital. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Penny, sons Jack Jr. (Andrea), Richard (Jackie), and Robert (Kathy), 7 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Jack was a 55 year member of the Minneapolis Rotary Club and a 60+ year member of the Minikahda Country Club where he began as the first Junior Member selected. He was a member of the Verdes Community Church in Rio Verde, AZ and St. Martin's by-the-Lake Episcopal Church in Minnetonka Beach, MN. Memorial services will be held in October in AZ and September 19th at 11:00AM at St. Martin's in MN. If desired, Memorials can be sent to the Minneapolis Rotary Foundation c/o Jack Kuehn, Jr., 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata, Minnesota 55391.
