James Cox Obituary Cox, James "Jim" A. age 83, of Long Lake, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 12, 2018. Preceded in death by wife of 53 years Bernie (Koch) Cox; parents, Lewis and Ina Cox; and brothers, Wayne and Loren Cox. Survived by children, Steven (Marilyn), David (Brenda), Mary Jo (Michael) Cook; and 9 grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Lyle (Barb) Cox. A life-long resident of Long Lake, he was born November 4, 1935 and lived his entire life on his family farm homesteaded in 1855. Jim worked at Long Lake Ford Tractors for 46 years and provided 45 years of service with Long Lake Fire Department. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
