Active for 54 years at The Wayzata American Legion. Also a member of the Elks Club. Retired Master Electrician IBEW 292. Loving husband, father, stepfather & grandfather, he will be greatly missed. Survived by wife, Mardell; daughter, Diane Suomi and husband, Darrell Al and their daughter, Laura; sons, Larry Klingelhoets, Rick Klingelhoets and Kevin Klingelhoets; daughter, Linda Kunkel & husband, Mark and their children, Andrew son, David Sorensen & wife, Deborah and their sons, Daniel & Gregory; son, John Sorensen & wife, Cheryl and their children, Emily & William; son, Thomas Sorensen; brothers, Clarence Klingelhoets & wife, Doris and Ivan Klingelhoets & wife, Roseanne; sister, Ida Mae Zahler & husband, Alvin; other loving relatives and friends. Memorial Service 1 PM Thursday at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Visitation 1 hour prior to service.
