Janet Johnson Obituary Johnson, Janet Age 83 of Minnetonka, MN (former resident of Rio Verde, AZ) passed away July 31st 2010. Preceded in death by parents and one brother; Allen Baker. Survived by husband, Walter; children, Steven (Sheryl) of Lakeville, James (Cheryl) of Orono, and Karen (Pat) Stewart of Plymouth; grand- children, Matthew (Kimberly) Naruko- Stewart, Brian (Amber) Johnson, Megan (Joshua) Rick, Neil (Marie) Johnson, Corey Johnson, Drew Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Jakob, Emma, Piper, Jackson, and Clara. Janet's favorite place to be was her Whitefish Chain lake home with many fond family memories. Her hobbies included a flair for oil painting of many treasured Arizona settings, needlepoint, and cooking. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Methodist Hospital, was a member of the Wayzata and Rio Verde Country Clubs, and was a member of Rio Verde Community Church. Memorial service will be held at 3PM on Tuesday, August 3 at St. Philip the Deacon Church, 17205 County Road 6, Plymouth. Visitation will be from 6-8PM on Monday, August 2 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, and also one hour prior to service at church. Memorials preferred to U of M Carlson School of Business, Walter and Janet Johnson Scholarship Fund. She will be missed by family, friends, and her poodle Gabriel.
