Obituary

Janice Rodberg Obituary Rodberg, Janice Rae (Twining) age 73. Jan passed away peacefully at her home on September 7, 2014 following complications from strokes. Janice was born February 21, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota to Jane and Louis Twining. She graduated from Hermantown High and married the love of her life, Phil Rodberg, on December 9, 1960. They had three children, Glen, Craig and Kimberly. During the early years of their marriage they lived in Duluth, Winona, and then in 1971 they moved to Plymouth, Minnesota. Jan started a successful window treatment business, Draperies by Jan, which allowed her to work from home and spend time with family and friends. Jan and Phil loved spending time together at their cabin in Shaw, Minnesota. Jan was actively involved in multiple ministries of St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church. Jan had a vibrant, lively personality that brought joy to many lives. Jan is survived by her husband Phil; sons, Glen (Honey) and Craig (Tamara); daughter, Kim Akey (Rob); two grandchildren, Grant Rodberg and Josie Akey; brother David Twining (Sharon), sister Peggy Twining and their families. Memorial service 11 AM Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Road 6, Plymouth with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Jan will be buried at the Shaw Cemetery in 2015. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Shaw Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
