Jean Ryan Obituary Ryan, Jean C. (Blomquist)Age 75, of Minnetonka, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Feb 27, 2010. Preceded in death by husband Robert and daughter Teresa. She is survived by her five children, Daniel (Pam), Michael (Astrid), Joseph (Kathy), Mary Soderstrom (Jeff), Sean; 14 grandchildren, Connor, Allison, Claire, Brendan, Ella, Erik, Filip, Tomas, Patrick, Ava, Lucy, Elsa, Finn, and Zachary; sister, Marion Blomquist; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Evans and Barbara Ryan; and nephews, John and Greg Evans. Jean grew up in south Minneapolis and graduated from Central High School. She and Bob raised their family on a hobby farm in Mayer, MN. Jean worked at Waconia Ridgeview Hospital and Hennepin County Medical Center. They enjoyed retirement in Phoenix, AZ for several years before Jean moved back to Minnetonka, MN. Jean believed strongly in our responsibility to assist those in need, and spent much of her time as a volunteer for charitable causes. Her kind and generous heart, wise spirit, and compassionate soul will be missed immensely by her family and friends. Visitation from 9-11am followed by Mass on Saturday March 6 at The Church of St. Therese of Deephaven, 18323 Minnetonka Boulevard, Deephaven, MN. Lunch celebration to follow. Private internment at Fort Snelling at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Loaves and Fishes (MN).
