Obituary

Jeanette Olson Obituary Olson, Jeanette Zander passed away, unexpectedly but peacefully, at home on the morning of 6 March 2009. She was holding the rosary that she so often used to pray for the wellbeing of others. Jeanette was born to Charles and Theresa Zander in 1923 on a farm in Black Earth, Wisconsin, the third of five children. She attended Black Earth High School and the University of Wisconsin, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. There she met her beloved husband Bill (William J. Olson, d. 1989), with whom she shared faith in God, nurture of family, and delight in friends. She worked in the research and retail fields at various times, and found lifelong satisfaction enriching the lives of others as a dedicated homemaker, parishioner, and volunteer. Jeanette is survived by a sister (Mary Lou Keating), four sons and daughters-in-law (Mark and Linda, Paul and Nancy, John and Melissa, David and Janet), eight grandchildren, and many friends. She showed us how to live a life of deep faith, humility, and abiding love. May her goodness and faith in God strengthen and inspire us. Events to celebrate Jeanette's life include a visitation at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd., on Sunday, 15 March, from 5-8 PM with prayer service at 7 PM, and a Mass of Resurrection at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24 in Medina on Monday, 16 March, at 11 AM and visitation 1 hour prior. Donations may be sent to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church to support Interfaith and educational programs. David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577
