Jerry Foss Obituary Foss, Jerry, 61, of Golden Valley, Minnesota died on Saturday, September 9 at the N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, MN, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He passed peacefully, with his life partner Howard Dixon at his side. He was born on October 24, 1955, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, to Fred and Mildred Foss. He grew up there in southern Illinois, graduating from Lawrenceville High School, Class of 1973, and spent most of his adult life in Minnesota. For the past 27 years, Jerry was an agent with Edina Realty, where he was known for his high energy and his unwavering integrity. Besides real estate, Jerrys passion in life was travel. He has been to all fifty states and nearly a hundred countries. His personality, optimism, laughter, and larger-than-life presence brought him hundreds of friends all over the world, each of whom have "Jerry stories" they could tell. Besides his partner Howard, Jerry is survived by two sisters, Janet Earnst (Terry) and Betty Foss, both of whom live in Vincennes, Indiana, and by nephews, nieces and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Avenue South in Minneapolis, on Saturday, September 16 at 3 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:30.
