Jim was the son of Minnie and Marvin Edwards. He grew up in Estherville, Iowa and graduated from Estherville High School in 1965. He attended Mankato State University and received a degree in Industrial Engineering. Jim is survived by Suzanne, his wife of 42 years; his two daughters, Jessica Edwards-Brandt (Kevin Brandt) of Vienna, Virginia and Deidre Edwards of New York, New York; two granddaughters, Hayden and Harper; a brother, Bruce, of Phoenix, Arizona and a sister, Kathy (Steve) Iverson of Lake Mills, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Throughout his life Jim was the consummate outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. His love for golf was rewarded with a hole-in-one at Redwood Falls Golf Club in 2014.
Jim will be remembered for his loyalty, sharp sense of humor and abiding
pride in his family. His greatest joy was driving his granddaughters across his property in his golf cart or across Minnesota lakes in his boat.
