Jo Schneider Obituary Schneider, Jo, age 73, of Orono, passed away December 3rd. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Ayleene Ross. Survived by husband of 50 years Bill; daughters, Melanie (Gene) Wilson and Tiffany (Ben) Joseph; beloved grandkids, Reilly, Campbell, Hayden, Marlo, and Felix; sisters, Sandy and Valerie; many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Clendenin, West Virginia, Jo remained a Southerner at heart, though she lived in Cincinnati, OH; Detroit, MI; Milwaukee, WI; York, Pennsylvania; and Plymouth and Orono, MN. It was a beautiful day when she could finally get sweet tea in the Midwest. A former English teacher, Jo continued the good work long after her departure from the classroom, saving the word "whom" from extinction. Her biggest joy was her family and friends, and no amount of miles or years could prevent her from sharing her love in the form of reams of greeting cards and heartfelt notes; Facebook posts and texts; Christmas ornaments and thoughtful keepsakes. There is no doubt that Jo will continue to find ways to reach out to loved ones even from heaven. There will be a celebration of Jos remarkable life on Friday, December 16 from 11-2 at Wayzata Country Club, 200 Wayzata Boulevard West, Wayzata. Wear something bright and come ready to "pitch a big one" and share your stories and memories.
