John Battaiola Obituary Age, 80 of Plymouth, passed away from pancreatic cancer on March 30, 2016. Born on February 29, 1936 in Minneapolis. He had a diverse career as a priest, an HR Director for Control Data, and his favorite, a bus driver for Wayzata Schools, which included driving his beloved Girls Soccer Team. He is preceded in death by parents, Cipriano and Severina Battaiola; sister, Sr. Caroline Ciatti and brother, Reno Ciatti. John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sally (Doherty); daughter, Chris (Oster) and son-in-law Jason; grandchildren, Sadie, Lauren and Charlie; son, John Patrick; sister, Rita (Spinal) and brother-in-law, Richard. He is also survived by many Ciatti and Doherty relatives, and his granddog, Scout. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5 at The Church of St. Mary of The Lake, 105 Forestview Lane North, Plymouth, with visitation an hour before and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hammer or Choice Inc. are preferred. As John would say, "You have never seen someone who has died for the last time."
