John Bruntjen Obituary Bruntjen, John A. of Wayzata, age 63, died peacefully of cancer Friday, November 3rd, 2006. John was born in 1942 and attended Edina High School and then Augsburg College. John was a business entrepreneur and loved the excitement of finding the next new deal. He was a relentless optimist with a charismatic personality unmatched by any. John enjoyed spending time with family and friends but more than anything John loved life. John was preceded in death by his father, Hermann A. Bruntjen; brother, Worth Bruntjen; and loving nanny, Lillian Mc Farlane. John will be dearly missed by his mother, Marjorie Kreiser Doughten; sons, Jonathan C. Bruntjen and Justin Bruntjen; daughters, Courtney and Carley Bruntjen, their mother and loving caretaker Helayne Bruntjen; brothers, Sven, Fred and Bill Bruntjen; grandchildren, Colton and Boden Bruntjen and many loving friends and relatives. Memorial service Tuesday November 7 2:30 PM at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S., Mpls. Visitation Monday 4-6 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Private interment at German Liberal Cemetery in Medina. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church
