John Garvey Obituary Garvey, John Joseph age 71 of Medina, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away October 19, 2008. Preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine Fischer and Patricia Claycomb. Survived by his wife, Margaret; daughters, Kim Horton and husband Jim, Gina Niesche and husband David and Lisa Schaehrer; grandchildren, Taylor, Jake and Luke Horton, Madi Niesche, Chloe, Jack and Peter Schaehrer; brother, Lawrence Garvey, Jr. and wife Shirley; nieces and nephews. John graduated from Christian Brothers High School, St. Joseph, Missouri in 1955 and served in the Air Force from 1956-1960. He had a career in the grocery business including owning his own store. Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 pm Wednesday, October 22 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Rd. 24, Medina. Visitation one hour prior to mass at church. Interment Holy Name Cemetery.
