John Patrick Hussey, beloved father, musician, runner, and friend, passed away on April 14, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him and a world made dimmer by his absence. Preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Joan, he is survived by his son, Kieran, his grandsons, Luka and Owen, his siblings, Christine, Brian, Peter, and Bill, and many others who knew and cared for him.

A talented guitar player, John had a lifelong passion for music, and he shared that love with his family, inspiring his son to pick up the instrument and appreciate the connection music can bring. He was an avid sports fan, and he tended to make a memorable impression on everyone he met.

In one of his final messages, he expressed how lucky he felt to have his family.

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with loved ones, listen to good music, and live in the present.
