John Kvam Obituary Kvam, John C. age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, February 20, 2022. John was born on December 26, 1933, in Benson, MN and a longtime resident of Wayzata and Excelsior, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Minnie Kvam; brothers, Eldon Kvam and Eddie Kvam Jr; sister, Patricia Lorsung and daughter, Stacie Carlson. He is survived by loving wife of 65 years Beverlee; his two sons, Dan (Juli) Kvam and Steve (Darci) Kvam; brother, Jim (Meta) Kvam. Additionally bereaved by his six grandchildren, Edward, Amanda, Eric and Brett Kvam, David and Jack Carlson; and four great-granddaughters; and many nephews and nieces. Before retirement John was a State Farm Insurance agent in Wayzata for 33 years. John enjoyed a lifelong passion for the outdoors and loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and family on a fishing boat or hunting. He was a charismatic and caring man, which combined with his sharp wit and sense of humor brought great stories and many laughs. Memorial service 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata with visitation one hour prior. Donations can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, Park Nicollet Hospice, or donors choice.
