John Mangum Obituary John Patterson Mangum Born June 23, 1993. John lost his battle with Batten's disease on April 3, 2021. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Judy; sisters, Angela (Matt), Katie (Sam); brother, Matt (Sarah); grandmother Janis Favorite, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. John was a graduate of Hopkins High School. He was a Special Olympics champion and enjoyed his swim club, music, movies, playing his harmonica, and pontoon rides at the cabin. John had the biggest heart and taught us all about kindness, strength, and love. He made us understand what is truly important in life. His smile, laughter, and all around good spirit made him an amazing young man. John made many friends throughout his life and will be missed and remembered by all that knew him.
