John O Obituary O'Brien, John J. age 88, of Wayzata, MN; passed 2/18/06. Preceded in death by sister, Gertrude Gaffney. Survived by Agnes, loving wife of 66 years; as well as by sons, Jack (Connie) and Tony (Phyllis) and daughters Eileen Heno (Pete) and Karen Curtis (Gary). 12 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, and many other relatives & friends grieve his passing. John was an honorably-discharged veteran of both the U.S. Naval Reserve prior to WWII and later the United States Army where he served as a supervisor of radar operators during the war. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 11 AM at the Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Visitation 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, with prayers at 6:30 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, Wayzata, and 1 hour prior to service at church. Private internment at Ft. Snelling, National Cemetery.
