John Palmer Obituary
Palmer, John Vincent of Plymouth died peacefully at home on June 15, 2006 at age 83. John's childhood was spent in Excelsior on W. Lake St. on Gideons Bay of Lake Minnetonka. He attended Excelsior School K-11, was a graduate of Breck School for Boys and The University of MN Civil Engineering with Sanitary Option; Fort Leonardwood Engineer Basic WWII, Fort Belvoir, VA Water Treatment School 1253 E. Combat Btn. MOS 727, European Theatre T4. John was District Sales Engineer with Wallace and Tiernan for 36 yrs. MN PE No. 5323. He earned his Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 40, was a life member of the American Waterworks Assn., Alumnus of the Year-Breck School, WBCCI Airstream Club and Friendship Force Int. Attended Trinity Episcopal Church of Excelsior and Wayzata Community Church. Preceded in death by sister, Mary Thilgen. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ellen Palmer; children, Charles V. Palmer & wife Kim of St. Louis, MO, Ellen S. Pollan & husband Stanley of Stoughton, WI, David H. Palmer & wife Brenda of Winter, WI, Ruth a Schmudlach & husband Fredrick of Mound and eight grandchildren. Memorial Service 10:00 AM Saturday June 24 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 322 2nd St. in Excelsior. Private Interment. Memorials Preferred to The Breck School or Friendship Force Int'l.
