Josephine Trotter Obituary October 24, 1927-August 27, 2019 Jo, age 91, of Minnetonka, MN, passed away on Tuesday evening with her daughters, Meg and Sue, and two granddaughters, Kelle and Emily, by her bedside. Preceded in death by Stan, her husband of 47 years and her parents, Margaret and Gus Salstrom. Jo was born and raised in Britt, Iowa, attended Stephens College in MO, and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Economics. Married in 1951, Jo and Stan moved to MN and began their family. Jo was a stay-at-home mother, very active in her community and church, and later went to work in the cosmetic industry. She loved bridge and knitting, but her family was her passion. Survived by daughters, Meg Sundby and Sue Karr (Ken); grandchildren Anne Perrault (Greg), Emily Yanez (Manolete), Kelle Nitchie (Steve), and Alex Karr; great grandchildren Ada, Juliet, Benjamin and Emmett; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Memorial service will be held on Friday September 13th at the David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd E. in Wayzata, MN, at 11:00 am with visitation time at 10:00 am and lunch to follow. Burial at Fort Snelling will be a private ceremony with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson Foundation or Alzheimers Foundation.
