Judith Driscoll Obituary Driscoll, Judith Russell age 89, of Plymouth, Minnesota, died peacefully at home Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Daughter of Thomas W. and Dorothy Russell, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Chapman and her brother, T. W. Russell, Jr. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut, attended Foxcroft School, and was graduated from Vassar College in 1940. She spent summers on Fishers Island, NY, and at Cora, WY. Judy was married to William N. Driscoll in 1943, and moved to Minnesota in 1947. A lifelong volunteer and benefactor, she was co-founder and trustee of the Children's Theatre, and a trustee of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, World Policy Institute, Jungle Theatre, and Vassar College. An avid sportswoman, she loved the outdoors and travel. She is fondly remembered by her many close friends. She is survived by her children, Rosalyn of Williamsburg, MA, William Jr. of Beverly Hills, CA, Peter of Aspen, CO, Thomas of San Rafael, CA, and Conrad of Sonora, CA; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Memorial service is at Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 2. A reception will follow at 4:30 PM at Woodhill Country Club in Wayzata. No flowers please. Memorials may be given to the Minnetonka Center for the Arts.
