Obituary

Kathleen Doty Obituary Kathleen "Kathy" Patricia Doty (McCloskey) passed away on December 23, 2016. Born on March 20, 1967, Kathy spent 49 years being a beautiful and wonderful travel companion, purse and shoe purchaser, Norte Dame fighting Irish fan, friend, aunt, sister, daughter, step-mother, puppy-mom, and wife. Welcoming her with open arms and a sarcastic joke at the pearly gates are her father Stephen McCloskey, father-in-law Leo Bailey Sr., and brother Patrick McCloskey. This Jersey Girl will be remembered most by those who knew her closest for her deep passion, care and love that she used to make those she loved feel so specialas well as her abundant love for Bruce Springsteen. As a college administrator for over 20 years, she was successful in providing leadership and resources for people to earn a secondary education. Most importantly to her, the education helped people fulfill their dreams. Kathy believed fiercely in the opportunity for others to grow, improve, and be better. Her loyalty to family and close friends will be remembered forever. Her family who will be missing her so deeply will be her mother Laverne McCloskey, mother-in-law Nancy Bailey, husband Larry, step-son Jack, uncle Patrick McCloskey, siblings, Celia, Stephen (Lori), Sean, Margaret (Tim Lavanger), Bill (Julie), nieces and nephews, Danielle, Ryan (Amanda), Stephen (Lanie), Katie, Billy, Lauren, Jenny, Eric, Megan, Kiley, Madelyn, Morgan, Kelly, Patrick, great niece and nephew Molly and Charlie, as well as many other family and friends from Nevada, Minnesota, and New Jersey. Kathy will also be missed greatly by her three dogs, Rudy, Roc, and Lou! In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family has requested any contributions be made to provide for any future medical care for her dear dogs. If you would like to contribute, please email kathyspups2016@gmail.com. As Kathy would tell her family, "Go Play like Champions Today."
