Kathleen Rose Obituary Age 94, of Wayzata, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2017. Born May 29, 1923 to Irving and Lorraine English. Preceded in death by husband of 59 years, Vernon Rose, Jr., USN (Ret) and siblings, Edie, Charlie and Sonny. Survived by children, Vernon Rose, III (Paula), Dee Gruning (Jim) and John Rose (Cindy), four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Kak graduated from West High School in Minneapolis, attended the U of M (Gamma Phi Beta), and was a stewardess for Northwest Airlines until her marriage to Vern in 1946. That began Vern's 23 year career in the Navy and many moves around the country. Kak once described her style of furniture as "Early 19th Move". Kak could light up a room with her smile. She enjoyed family, golf, bridge, waterskiing, the lake, world travel with Vern and friends the Carnes' and the Knutsons, and her German Shepherd dogs. At her request, there is no service. Her remains will be with Vern at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to U.S. Naval Academy Foundation, 291 Wood Road, Beach Hall, Annapolis, Maryland 21402.
