Kaye Olson Obituary Kaye Susan Olson (Cook), born April 13, 1943, in Postville, Iowa, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 27, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Aaron Burr and Helene Cook and is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Olson. Preceded in Death by Burr and Helen Cook and her sister Karen Carmen (Cook) Kaye was a dedicated mother to Chad Olson and Teresa Swenson, and a proud mother-in-law to Stephanie Olson. She took great joy in being a grandmother to Cade, Carter, Paige Olson, and Maximus, William, and Elizabeth Swenson. A passionate advocate for music, Kaye graduated from the McPhail School of Music and spent many years as a band director, inspiring her students and fostering a love for the arts in her community. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone around her. Kaye cherished her time at the family cabin in Danbury, WI, and their home in Palm Desert, CA, where she created countless lasting memories with her family. Her unwavering devotion to her loved ones and the warmth she shared will be fondly remembered. Kayes legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by family and friends alike. Funeral Wednesday November 6, at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2060 6th Avenue North, Long Lake. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
