Keith Nord Obituary age 61 of Wayzata, passed away from cancer at his home in Orono, surrounded by his family on September 19, 2018. He was born on March 13, 1957 in Minnetonka to Lynn and Virginia (Fossan) Nord. After graduating from Minnetonka High School, Keith attended St. Cloud State University, where he earned a Business degree and played football. After college, Keith achieved his life-long goal (from age 12) to play football for the Minnesota Vikings from 1979-1985. After retiring from football, Keith worked as a motivational speaker who touched many lives. He spoke at churches, businesses, and schools, challenging both adults and children to embrace his positive attitude, set goals, and be persistent and active in achieving them. Keith will be remembered by his immense love for his family and faith in God. He found joy in hunting, fishing, being close to the mountains, and going to the cabin to spend time on the lake with his family. One of Keiths mottos was, "if you love what you do, youll never work a day in your life." Keith was a man who lived his life to the fullest. He is survived by his loving wife, Jenn; daughters, Katie (Mike) Dougherty, Alex (Joe) Yonga, and Emerson; sons, Easton and Avery; and grandsons, Alex and Kaiden. He is also survived by his mother, Virginia; sisters, Cheryl (Jan) Hook and Kim (Greg) Nash; nephew, Joshua (Jenn) Hook, and nieces, Lauren and Gretchen Nash. He is preceded in death by his father, Lynn. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11am at Wayzata Community Church, 125 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church at 10am.
