Born on August 18, 1976, in Rangoon, Burma, Lein brought with her a vibrant spirit that touched countless lives across continents. From an early age, she displayed a deep curiosity about the worlda trait that would define much of her life. Her family moved to the United States in 1981. Determined to pursue higher education, Lein attended college after high school and later returned to earn a degree in Computer Science. She nearly completed a nursing degree as well, but illness ultimately made it impossible to finish.
At the age of 23, Lein joined the Army National Guard, demonstrating her commitment to service and resilience. That same strength carried through every chapter of her lifewhether in her professional endeavors or her personal relationships.
Leins career path was as dynamic as she was. Over the years, she worked at four different companies alongside her beloved husband. Their shared professional journey was just one facet of their extraordinary bond. For nearly three decades, they were inseparable partners in life and work. Lein often said that even though her time was cut short, she felt immense gratitude for having spent more than half her life with the person she loved most. Their love story was one of rare intensity and enduring devotionenough to fill several lifetimes.
A woman of many talents and interests, Lein had a passion for learning that never waned. She delighted in mastering new crafts to beautify her homestained glass art among themand found joy in creating things with her hands. Her love for languages was equally impressive: she spoke Burmese, Chinese, English, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL), each one a testament to her intellectual curiosity and desire to connect with others. As the youngest sibling when relocating to the US, Lein excelled in learning English quicker than her family members. Consequently, she frequently assisted them with translation over the years.
Leins personality was a rich tapestry: bright and cheerful yet fierce when standing up for what she believed in; warm and caring but unafraid to confront injustice head-on. Though shy around new people, she had an uncanny ability to draw others into her orbitpeople were naturally drawn to her authenticity and kindness. Even a brief encounter with Lein often left a lasting impression; she was someone you wanted to know better.
She is deeply mourned and survived by her husband, Michael Bell; her six siblings: Kimberly Kauffman (Jeffrey), Jennifer Lee (Sydney), Wayne Ho, Julie Ho, Sim Childers (Chris), and Shannon Ho (Jerry James); and her former brother-in-law, Anthony Tan. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: David (Bonita), Kevin, Elizabeth (Todd), Jacklyn, Dillon, Jade, Cole, Donovan (Paislea), Christopher, Jeric, Sophia, Jayla, and Aaden; as well as her great-nieces and great-nephew: Ayla, Orion, and Winter. She now joins her parents, Sin Kan Ho and Beng Chou Ho; her grandmother, Pain A. Sit; and her nephew, Darren Luong, who preceded her in death.
Lein's legacy is one of love fiercely given and deeply felta life marked by compassion, courage, humor, intellect, and unwavering loyalty. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her.
