Leonard Kulseth Obituary
Kulseth, Leonard I. age 88, passed away June 12, 2007. He is survived by daughter, Bonnie; son, Chris (Cheryl) and grandchildren, Peter, Bonnie, Matthew and Kyle. Leonard was born in Valley City, ND and raised in Mankato, MN. He was the son of Harold and Inga Kulseth. Leonard graduated from Mankato Teachers College and entered the Army in 1942. The Army trained him in Italian at the University of Madison, WI and upon completion was sent to Fort Dix, NJ to be an interpreter for the Italian POWs interred there. He continued his education after the war obtaining a Master's and further work on a PhD. He taught at Medelia, MN, Brainerd MN, Ball State University and Kutztown State University of Pennsylvania. Leonard married Peggy (Eberhart) in 1946 and together they lived in Brainerd, MN, Muncie, IN and Kutztown, PA where they remained for twenty-five years. They returned to live in Minnesota in 2003. Leonard loved dogs, cats, the cabin and fishing. He will always be remembered as a warm, kind person. Leonard was a loving husband, wonderful father and proud grandfather.
