Linda Ellen Hilden passed from death to life on August 26, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. Linda was born to Glen and Barbara Grave on November 20, 1954. She was the middle child in her family, loved by her older brother, Lynn, and younger sister, Becky. After graduating from Wayzata High School, Linda worked at Brown Photo in Wayzata where she met the love of her life, Roger. They were married August 20, 1977. They shared an incredible 49 years together welcoming three children - Matthew (Chloe), David (Jessica), and Anna (Danny). Linda was honored to stay home to raise her children. Each of their children expanded their family further through marriage and the births of eleven grandchildren - Asher, Arden, Samuel, Juliet, Max, Anderson, Gideon, Eleanor, Ephraim, Cohen, and Teddy.

To know Linda was to be prayed for by her. She started each morning “in her chair” praying by name for each person in her book who was celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or day of remembrance. She would often text or call to let you know she was thinking of you and never missed an opportunity to connect with the person right in front of her, whether a longtime friend or the cashier at Trader Joe’s. She was a member of prayer teams at every church she attended and served in various freedom ministries over the years. Linda knew God as loving Father, Savior, and the source of freedom both in this life and in the one to come. She had complete assurance that when her life on earth came to an end she would be in the presence of Jesus, fully restored.

Her grandkids remember her as a source of support and comfort. They loved the special birthday dates she would take them on, always willing to eat at any restaurant of their choosing. She loved to bake, garden, sew, and bird watch but most of all, she loved to cheer on the people she loved in all that they were pursuing.

A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 12th at 11 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayzata, with a public visitation at 10 AM.
