Obituary

Linda Norberg

October 2, 1946 – October 15, 2025

Linda Norberg, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 2, 1946, in Queens, New York, to Robert and Ethel Lavell, Linda was the heart and foundation of her family, quiet force of strength, grace, and selflessness.

Linda met the love of her life, Graham Norberg, while in high school, and they married when she was just 18 years old. Together, they built a life centered around love, dedication, and unwavering support for one another. They welcomed their first son, Gerard, in 1966, followed by Bryan in 1971, and daughter Carlene in 1974. Linda poured her heart into raising her children, always putting her family first, fiercely protective, and endlessly nurturing.

Her life journey took her from New York to Ohio and Connecticut, before ultimately settling in Plymouth, Minnesota. Linda worked in accounting, first at General Mills and later at Honeywell, where she remained for over 22 years before retiring.

Following retirement, Linda and Graham spent the last 15 years enjoying life in South Carolina. As true snowbirds, they returned to Minnesota each summer to be close to their children and grandchildren, creating cherished memories and remaining an active and loving presence in their lives.

Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—reading, bowling, and playing bridge with friends. She never asked for much and never complained. Her quiet strength was a steady presence in the lives of those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Ethel Lavell. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Graham Norberg; her children Gerard Norberg, Bryan Norberg (Lauri), and Carlene Jensen (Chad); her cherished grandchildren Kelsey Mitchell (Doug), Graham Norberg (Danielle), Hannah Norberg, Emily Volckart (Liam), Tyler Jensen, and Kaitlin Jensen; and great-grandchildren Carter Mitchell and Norah Norberg. She is also survived by her brother Robert Lavell, sister Dorothy Goerke, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at11:00 a.m..
