Lisa Fortin Obituary Lisa Fortin of Plymouth. Born October 3, 1955 and passed away on January 22, 2017. Lisa fought an odds-defying battle with ovarian cancer and an even longer battle with multiple sclerosis. She will be remembered for her love of wildlife, nature, singing, laughing, and most importantly, family. Lisa cherished her granddaughters and tirelessly persevered to see them grow to be the outstanding young ladies they are. Always active, Lisa was a high school cheerleader, skier, swimmer, and horseback rider. She met her amazing husband of 40 years in Wayzata in 1975 and graduated Sigma Phi Alpha 3 years later with a degree in dental hygiene. Lisa loved to help others and took great pride in her 30-year career in dentistry. She was a writer, a poet, and an artist. She treasured her garden and the creatures who shared this beloved space. She is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by father, Donald Johnson. Survived by loving husband, Philip; son, Christian (Jill); grandchildren, Kaya and Mia; mother, Edna Johnson; and sister, Kirsten Johnson.
Memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 3695 Highway 101 North in Plymouth on Friday January 27, at 11 AM. Memorials preferred to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
