Lloyd Bergman Obituary Lloyd Ole Bergman was born on May 18, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN and passed away peacefully on January 28, 2014 from complications of Alzheimers. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ansine Bergman. Ole is survived by his wife of 62 years Bonnie Bergman, his three children Kathy (John) Bergman-Baer, Mark (Debbie) Bergman, and Steven Bergman, as well as six grandchildren, Chris, Britta, Liza, Suzie, Sarah and Isabelle. Ole was the only child of Swedish immigrants and spent his childhood in NE Minneapolis helping his parents in the family bakery. Ole graduated from Edison High School and following his service in the Army, attended Gustavus Adolphus College, where he met Bonnie, and graduated in 1950. Ole earned his law degree from William Mitchell, and began his law practice in Minneapolis where he worked until his retirement in 1999. Ole was very active in a variety of clubs, organizations, and choirs and served on the board of most of the following: The Courage Center, Gustavus Adolphus College, Big Brothers, Minneapolis Lions, Scottish Rite, Chanters, Wayzata Community Church, American Swedish Institute, Tuesday Lunch Bunch, and his favorite Svenska Sallskapet. Ole loved life, and found the most joy in playing the piano, singing, dancing, speaking Swedish with his friends, and spending time with loved ones. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral service 1:30 pm Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at the church.
