Loren Klitzke Obituary Klitzke, Loren J. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on November 17, 2006 after suffering for 11 years with Alz- heimer's. He passed peacefully with a smile, while holding his beloved wife, Corky's hand. He will be missed, his zest for life, boating, sailing, skiing, gardening, and traveling. His wife, children, step children, and grandchildren will miss him beyond measure. He loved life, and was so involved with helping others. He was chairman of the Episcopal Group Home and the YMCA. He grew up in Mankato, and lived in St. Louis Park, Edina, and on Lake Minnetonka. Graduated from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business. Loren served our country during WWII flying F4U Corsair planes off naval aircraft carriers in the South Pacific while stationed in the Philippines. He began his career in Indiana at RCA and then was employed by Hoerner Waldorf as Vice President and retired from Champion International. Loren was preceded in death by his beloved wife, MaryAnn. Survived by loving wife, Cornelia; daughter, Mary and her children, Shannon and Anthony; son, Joseph; son, Michael and his wife Judith and their daughter, Isabella; daughter, Julie and husband, Mark and their children, Alexander and Emily; daughter, Jenifer and ex-husband Robert and their children Rebecca and Kaitlyn; son, Mark and his wife Bonnie and children, Alyssa and Coral; sister, Dorothy Ashkenas; and other relatives and friends. Memorial service Tuesday 3:00 PM at St. Martin's by-the-Lake Episcopal Church, 2801 Westwood Road (County Road 15), Minnetonka Beach. Memorials may be directed to St. Martin's by-the-Lake Church.
