Lorraine Waage Obituary Lorraine Carol Waage (Brossoit), 96, of Minnetonka, passed away on December 18, 2022.
Lori was born near Stephen, Minnesota and grew up in Thief River Falls. Her father George,
inspired her interest in music, and Lori played many musical instruments including the violin,
trombone, guitar, piano and button accordion. Her mother Emma, fostered Loris love of cooking
and gardening. Following World War II, Lori married Donald Waage, also of Thief River Falls.
When Don was called to military duty during the Korean War, Lori and children accompanied
him to Fort Rucker, Alabama. Afterwards the family moved to Washington, DC, and later
returned to Minnesota. As her children grew up, she entered the workforce and became
involved in the Honeywell 120 mm tank ammunition development program. Lori was preceded
in death by her husband, Donald and their daughter, Laurie Ann. She is survived by daughter,
Suzanne (spouse Kenneth Friedman); son, Donn (spouse Virginia Housum); son, Bruce (spouse Helene
Ranweiller), and son, Eric (spouse Krismar Hansen). Lori was also a grandmother to nine grandchildren
and great-grandmother to twelve. Her children and their families were an immense source of joy
for Lori. Her kindness, cheerfulness and friendship will be missed by all who knew her.

Foundation at https://mplsfdn.org/WCA. Memorial service 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2022 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Avenue South, Minneapolis. Parking garage off of Alice Rainville Place. Visitation 2-4 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2022 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata.
