Lorriane Pointer Obituary Pointer, Lorraine A. Age 98, of Mpls., passed away quietly on August 20, 2014. Preceded in death by husband Richard, parents Art and Alma Anderson, and sister, Evelyn Pedersen. Lorraine was a multi-talented lady: in her youth, she was a high jumper, beautician and avid golfer; later, she worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and landscaping, and became a regular at bingo while living in Masonic Homes. Having lived in over 20 cities, she always enjoyed going places: Hawaii, Alaska, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, and New Zealand. She also loved visiting her family in Indiana, Kentucky, Florida and Massachusetts. Survived by sons Rich (Nancy) Pointer, and Don (Judy) Pointer; and daughters Jan (Ron) Powers and Kate Clark; 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lil Warfield and many nieces and nephews, as well as friends. Services were held at Masonic Homes in Bloomington.
